Privacy Policy, Student Data Safety & Google AdSense / AdMob Disclosure
Welcome to AI Math Solver: Step Tutor (https://getaimathsolver.com) and our official Android application (Package ID: com.getaimathsolver.ai.math.solver). We are committed to protecting student and educator privacy and complying strictly with the Google AdSense & Google AdMob Program Policies, the Google EU User Consent Policy (Consent Mode v2 & UMP SDK), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the Google Play Data Safety & User Data Deletion Requirements.
1. Google AdSense, Google AdMob & DoubleClick DART Cookie Disclosure
We partner with Google AdSense (on web) and Google AdMob (on Android, Publisher ID: pub-6227432811061522, verified via /ads.txt and /app-ads.txt) to serve optional rewarded video advertisements and banner placements that keep our core math solver and 12 US Formula Cheat-Sheets accessible for free. Please note the following mandatory disclosures:
- Third-Party Vendors & Google Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies, web beacons, and mobile advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to
getaimathsolver.comor other websites and apps. - Google Advertising Cookies (DART): Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized or non-personalized ads to users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- How to Opt Out of Personalized Advertising: Users may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com) or by reading How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You may also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.eu.
2. Google Consent Mode v2 & Google UMP SDK (EEA, UK & US State Privacy)
On the web, we enforce Google Consent Mode v2 where ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage default to denied until explicit consent is granted via our Cookie Banner. In our Android app (com.getaimathsolver.ai.math.solver), we integrate the official Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK at startup to gather and respect GDPR and US state privacy choices prior to initializing mobile ad requests.
3. Information We Process When You Solve a Math Problem
- Math Equations, Camera Photos & PDF Worksheets: When you type an equation, snap a homework photo, or upload a PDF worksheet, the content is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS (TLS 1.3) to our Google Cloud Run backend (
us-central1) solely to perform optical character recognition (OCR), symbolic step derivation, 2D graph sampling, or Socratic tutoring. Uploaded homework images are processed ephemerally in memory and are never sold to third-party data brokers. - Anonymous Cryptographic Device Hash (Credit Ledger): To grant 15 Free Welcome Credits without forcing students to register an email address or password, our system computes a one-way SHA-256 hash of anonymous device parameters. This hash is used strictly to track your credit balance, unlocked formula cheat-sheets, and Google Play subscription status.
- Voice Input: When you use the Voice Input button to dictate a math problem, speech recognition is handled by your device's native speech recognizer; we do not store raw voice recordings on our servers.
4. Instant 1-Tap User Data Deletion (Google Play Policy Compliance)
You have complete control over your data. You can permanently erase your device wallet and all math solve history at any time in 1 tap:
- Inside the Android App: Open the top-right Privacy / Data Safety menu and tap "ποΈ Delete All My Device Data".
- On the Web (Without Opening the App): Visit our 1-Tap Cloud Data Deletion Portal, enter or confirm your Device Hash, and click Permanently Delete My Device Data & History.
5. California Consumer Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA) & Student Privacy (COPPA)
California residents have the right to request disclosure or deletion of collected data and to opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising using the "Essential Only" option in our Consent Banner. Our services are designed for high school, college, and adult learners (ages 13+) and comply with COPPA; we do not knowingly collect personal profile data from children under 13.
